TL;DR
The Hospitality Show moves to 27 to 29 March 2028 in Las Vegas, so there is no main November show in 2027.
Plan 2027 as a year without THS and treat any promised THS-branded experiences as a bonus until details appear.
Replace the November meeting trigger with a planned Q4 account programme for your top US accounts.
Pick one anchor event that matches your buyer, such as HITEC for IT or ALIS for owners, plus one or two supporting events.
There will be no November edition of The Hospitality Show in 2027. On 3 November 2026, the second day of the 2026 show in Miami Beach, the American Hotel & Lodging Association and Forge announced that the next edition will run from 27 to 29 March 2028 at the Las Vegas Convention Center's Central Hall. The show moves from November to spring, which leaves a year with no main edition at all.
For hotel tech vendors that built their autumn around THS, this is a budget question and a pipeline question. This post sets out what was announced, what it changes for your 2027 plan, and which verified 2027 events you can move effort to.
What AHLA and Forge announced
The next show runs 27 to 29 March 2028 at the Las Vegas Convention Center's Central Hall, a return to the city where The Hospitality Show first launched.
The organisers say the earlier date was "informed by feedback from across the hospitality community" and better aligns the event with "key industry planning, engagement and purchasing cycles".
Rebooking is already open for exhibitors and sponsors, with a new show floor, programming, networking and partnership opportunities in development.
The release says to "expect to see THS-branded experiences throughout 2027".
The focus stays on operations, revenue, technology, workforce and the guest experience.
Hotel Management's report carried the same facts. Rosanna Maietta, AHLA's president and CEO, said the move "creates an opportunity to engage our industry at a highly relevant point in the business cycle".
What the announcement does not tell you
The release gives no dates, cities or formats for the THS-branded experiences in 2027. It gives no exhibitor or attendance targets for 2028 and no pricing for rebooking. As recently as 6 October 2026, Hotel Dive's roundup of 2027 hospitality conferences listed The Hospitality Show with date and venue both "TBD". So plan on the basis that there is no main show in 2027, and treat any branded experiences as a bonus once their details are published.
The release does point to the rest of the organisers' calendar: Forge runs Hotec Operations and Hotec Design, which use curated buyer and supplier meetings, and AHLA runs Hotels on the Hill and FORWARD. Check those directly if you want to stay close to the same organisers.
Three things that change for hotel tech vendors
1. A hole in the 2027 events budget
If THS was your main US show, the money you would have spent on a booth, travel and sponsorship in late 2027 is now unallocated. The easy mistake is to roll it straight into the 2028 rebook and spend nothing on events in between. The other mistake is to scatter it across five smaller shows without a reason for each. Decide what THS actually did for you before you move the money. If you have never measured that, our post on whether hotel tech trade shows generate pipeline walks through how to check.
2. Q4 meetings lose their meeting point
A November show gave sales teams a natural reason to book meetings with US owners, management companies and brand teams in the same week, close to the end of the year when many teams plan the year ahead. Without it, those meetings still need to happen, but they will not happen by default. Expect a softer Q4 2027 in meetings booked unless you replace the trigger with something else: an account visit plan, a hosted dinner, or a reason to talk such as a benchmark or a product release. Build that gap into your forecast now, as we describe in building a pipeline review that reflects hotel seasonality.
3. Spring 2028 changes the conversation you will have at the show
The organisers say spring timing fits planning and purchasing cycles better. Whatever your view of that, a March 2028 show means you will meet buyers at a different point in their year: in spring, ahead of the summer peak rather than at the end of the year. Your show messaging and offers for 2028 should reflect that, not repeat the November script. Our note on why hotel tech sales cycles stretch across seasons covers the timing logic.
Verified 2027 events to redirect effort to
The table lists 2027 events from our verified events research that reach US buyers, plus the strongest options if you sell outside the US. Dates are as published by each organiser; where the 2027 dates are not yet confirmed we say TBC. Check each source before you book, because dates can move.
Event | 2027 dates | Location | Who you meet |
|---|---|---|---|
25 to 27 January | Los Angeles | Investors, lenders, developers and owners | |
25 to 27 January | Dallas | Hotel distribution leaders, brands and intermediaries | |
22 to 24 March | Atlanta | Owners, developers and investors | |
4 to 6 May | Anaheim | Franchise owners of limited and select service hotels | |
6 to 8 June | New York City | Brand and management company C-suite, investors | |
28 June to 1 July | Orlando | Hotel IT, finance and operations buyers | |
29 to 30 June | Orlando | Revenue, marketing, sales and distribution leaders | |
4 to 6 August | Nashville | Revenue, data and analytics leaders | |
21 to 23 September | New York City | Senior travel and hospitality executives | |
16 to 18 November | Los Angeles | Travel tech executives, OTAs, investors | |
16 to 18 March | Berlin | Global hotel groups, OTAs, distribution partners | |
TBC | London | Global travel trade, with a travel tech area |
Two notes on the table. The Hotel Data Conference dates come from Hotel Dive's roundup rather than an official 2027 page, so confirm them with the organiser. WTM London's 2027 dates are not yet published; its 2026 edition ran 3 to 5 November at ExCeL London.
The Phocuswright Conference is the only verified US event in our list that sits in November 2027. It suits distribution, booking and guest-facing vendors, but it is a travel technology audience, not a hotel operations floor. Do not assume it replaces THS like for like.
How to rebuild your 2027 events plan
Pull the last two THS editions from your CRM: meetings booked, opportunities created, and revenue closed from those opportunities. If you cannot find them, that is your first finding.
Name the buyer THS gave you. Owners and management companies point to ALIS, Hunter or NYU IHIF. IT buyers point to HITEC. Revenue and distribution leaders point to HSMAI, HEDNA or the Hotel Data Conference. Franchise owners point to AAHOACON27.
Pick one anchor event and one or two supporting events, not six. Spread thin, a small team ends up with booths nobody follows up.
Replace the November meeting trigger. Plan a Q4 2027 account programme for your top US accounts: on-site visits, a regional dinner, or a short benchmark you share in person. See how to build an account plan for a hotel group.
Decide on the 2028 rebook separately, once THS publishes its floor plan and pricing, and judge it against what your 2027 events produced.
Event choice is part of the reach layer of a hotel tech go-to-market strategy. The question is not which shows are biggest, but which ones put you in front of the segment you sell to, at the moment they are buying.
