Table of contents:

TL;DR

  • 40 of 71 hotel software products checked on 3 November 2026 publish no price at all; buyers are sent to a demo or quote form.

  • Only 12 publish a full price list; 19 more show a starting price, minimum, calculator or pricing model.

  • Every product aimed mainly at chains and large groups is quote only; published prices come from vendors selling to independents.

  • Per room per month is the dominant unit, usually paired with a monthly minimum when the price is published.

  • No hotel payments provider checked publishes processing rates, and commission survives in booking fees and pay-per-stay metasearch.

Most hotel software vendors do not tell you what they charge. To put a number on that, I checked the public pricing pages of 60 hotel technology companies, covering 71 products across five categories, on 3 November 2026. This index records exactly what each vendor publishes: whether a price is shown, how it is structured, and the entry price as the vendor states it.

It is written for founders and revenue leaders at hotel tech companies who are deciding what to put on their own pricing page, and for anyone who wants a dated, sourced reference instead of a guess. It is refreshed every quarter.

Key findings, Q4 2026

  • 40 of 71 products (56%) publish no price at all. Buyers are sent to a demo or quote form.

  • Only 12 of 71 (17%) publish a full price list a buyer can use without talking to sales. Another 19 (27%) publish something partial: a starting price, a minimum, a calculator or a pricing model with no figures.

  • Transparency follows the segment. Every product aimed mainly at chains and large groups that I checked is quote only. Published prices come almost entirely from vendors selling to independent hotels and small groups.

  • Per room per month is the dominant unit, even among vendors that hide the number. Vendors that publish a per-room price usually pair it with a monthly minimum, such as Apaleo's €400 and WebRezPro's $100.

  • Commission has not disappeared. It survives in booking fees (Little Hotelier's 1% on its Basics plan), revenue-percentage plans (HotelRunner) and pay-per-stay metasearch (Profitroom, Triptease).

  • No hotel payments provider I checked publishes its processing rates. They describe the structure (blended or cost-plus) and route you to a quote.

How the index was built

  • Each vendor's own pricing page, product page or documentation was checked on 3 November 2026. Every row links to the page it came from.

  • Figures are recorded exactly as the vendor states them: same currency, same unit, same billing period. Nothing is converted, averaged or estimated.

  • Full price list means a buyer can see the price for their property without contacting sales. Partial means a starting price, minimum, average, calculator or model is shown, but not a complete rate card. Quote only means no price is shown.

  • Third-party price claims from review sites and blogs were left out. Where a price depends on a room-count selector, the figure shown is the page's default and is labelled as such.

  • Prices change often and some pages vary by visitor location. Treat each figure as what was visible on the check date, and confirm with the vendor before relying on it.

Disclosure: I spent 14 years at eZee Technosys, now Yanolja Cloud Solution (YCS), which appears in this index. It was checked by the same rules as every other vendor.

Property management systems (PMS)

Per-room pricing is the norm in PMS, but the enterprise systems hide it. The vendors that publish are the ones selling to independents, and the ones that publish a per-room rate usually add a monthly floor. Clock PMS+ is the outlier: it prices by the hotel's annual net revenue, not by rooms.

Revenue management (RMS)

Revenue management is the most polarised category. The enterprise RMS vendors are demo only, while the tools built for independents publish prices and offer free trials. RMS is also increasingly sold inside bundles rather than on its own: Atomize now sits inside Mews, and Cloudbeds sells RMS as a platform add-on.

Booking engines and channel managers

Entry prices for small properties cluster low, from about $14 to $39 a month. Most channel managers now advertise zero commission on channel bookings and charge a flat subscription instead, but commission survives in booking fees, revenue-percentage plans and pay-per-stay metasearch.

Guest messaging, CRM and upselling

Guest messaging and CRM is the least transparent category. The vendors that publish are mostly smaller European companies with monthly floors of roughly €75 to €120, and usage charges (messaging, SMS, WhatsApp) and setup fees often sit outside the headline price.

What this means for your own pricing page

Hiding the price is the default in hotel tech, so publishing one is a way to stand out, but only if it fits how you sell. The pattern in this index is consistent: vendors that sell to independents publish, and vendors that sell to chains do not. That is less about secrecy than about deal shape. A chain deal is priced across properties, integrations and contract terms, so a single public number would mislead more than it helps.

If you sell to independents and small groups, three things in the data are worth copying:

  1. A clear unit plus a floor. Per room per month with a monthly minimum (Apaleo, WebRezPro, Bookboost, HelloShift) is easy to compare and protects you on very small properties. The trade-offs between units are covered in per room, per property or flat pricing.

  2. A starting price instead of nothing. "From" prices and minimums (TrustYou, Duve, Runnr.ai, Little Hotelier) let a buyer qualify themselves before the demo, which is the job of a pricing page that pre-qualifies buyers.

  3. An honest trial or plan. Free trials and free tiers cluster among the published-price vendors. Whether that suits your product is a separate decision, covered in freemium or free trial and whether to add a self-serve plan.

If you sell to groups and chains, quote only is normal and expected. The risk is not the hidden price but a sales process that cannot show value before the number arrives. That is where how you price implementation and contract length matter more than the list price. Pricing is one layer of the wider hotel tech go-to-market system.
